Emily Janicik, several Honors Students Win Multiple Awards

Emily Janicik is among many L&S Honors students distinguishing themselves by being awarded both the Honors Summer Senior Thesis Award, as well as the Hilldale Research Award. Emily Janicik is a rising senior majoring in Economics and German with Honors in the Liberal Arts.

The Honors Summer Senior Thesis Grants enable students to undertake more demanding and extensive senior thesis research projects than might otherwise be possible. Besides recognition of an excellent thesis proposal, grant recipients are awarded a cash stipend of up to $3000 to cover research-related expenses. The Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowship provides research training and support to undergraduates. Students have the opportunity to undertake their own research project in collaboration with UW–Madison faculty or research/instructional academic staff.
