On March 4, 2020, L&S Honors students joined students from Honors programs outside of Letters & Science for the “Honors Connection,” the first organized all-campus Honors student gathering. Students shared Honors stories and experiences over snacks and dessert. Many of the collected comments reflected that students enjoy meeting a wide range of people who love to learn through Honors and appreciate the new learning opportunities their programs create in and beyond the classroom.
Students at the Honors Connection also met a panel of current seniors and recent alumni, who responded to questions and discussed their personal Honors trajectories. L&S Honors alumna Sarah Larson commented after the evening, “Being in the Honors program meant so much to me. I appreciated the chance to share my experience with current students.”
