Jen Selinsky wrote, “The promise of spring’s arrival is enough to get anyone through the bitter winter!” This certainly rings true for many on the UW campus. To help embrace the new season, a group of seven L&S Honors students joined the Allen Centennial Garden staff on Wednesday, April 26, in a host of projects to help restore the Garden after a long winter. The students, led by L&S Honors Student Ambassador, Sam Downey, contributed in the following ways:
- Cleaned the beds outside the fence (next to the entrance)
- Cleared dirt and debris spilling onto the sidewalk
- Transplant grasses
- General maintenance to the entryway
