Despite rains and wind, close to 300 first-year Honors students came to the fall semester kick-off on September 4. Students gathered at inside and outside Washburn Observatory before continuing their day with an L&S new student welcome event and the campus-wide Chancellor’s Convocation. At the Honors Fall Kickoff, students enjoyed breakfast, spent time getting to meet Honors staff and fellow students, and explored the building that will their go-to spot for Honors advising and many Honors events. Students could also take advantage of a special L&S Honors Snapchat filter to document their day!
