The L&S Honors staff is excited to welcome our new faculty director, Dr. Jenny Saffran (she/her), Professor of Psychology! She assumes the role previously held by Dr. Sabine Gross. While welcoming Dr. Saffran, the Honors staff would also like to thank Dr. Sabine Gross for her six years of leadership in the Honors Program!
Dr. Jenny Saffran has been a professor in the Psychology Department since 1997. Over her 25 years on the faculty, she has been heavily involved in the L&S Honors Program as both a mentor and a teacher. Nearly every year, she mentors undergrad Honors students engaged in Sophomore Summer Apprenticeships and Senior Honors Thesis projects in the Infant Learning Lab at the Waisman Center. She also regularly teaches Honors courses, including a faculty-led discussion section in her award-winning Child Development course. She is excited to take on this new leadership role in the L&S Honors Program and looks forward to meeting as many students as possible this Fall.
