Senior Honors Thesis Symposium

{Edit, March 2020: Due to COVID-19 and the suspension of in-person activities at UW-Madison, the in-person Senior Honors Thesis Symposium has been cancelled for 2020. In its place, students will be encouraged to upload a representative piece of their project (powerpoint, video, excerpt) to a Canvas course where others can view their projects. L&S Honors Program Senior Thesis Grant recipients should submit their abstract at the registration link below for inclusion in a Senior Honors Thesis program; any Honors student is welcome to submit their abstract for inclusion in the program whether they received a grant or not.

Typically occurs on a Saturday in April on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus

Event Details:

  • Students present their research findings in a 10-12 minute research talk
  • Presenters are organized into panels of 3-4 students per session
  • Registration includes a light breakfast, a lunch, and a reception
  • Students will be able to invite guests to attend the symposium
  • Presenters are expected to stay for the entire day of presentations
  • This symposium fulfills the presentation requirement for Hilldale recipients
