Jillian Hurlbut

Because of the Honors program, as a senior studying Communication Arts, Jillian was given the tools and experiences that helped her realize her true passions in life. After over three years of studying Radio, Film, and Television, Jillian took an Honors Gender, Woman, & Studies class that focused on women, their bodies, and their health. Through this course Jillian finally recognized that birth justice and supporting, as well as advocating for birthing people is where her true passions lie. Upon graduation Jillian plans to become certified as a full-spectrum doula, hoping to continually help all birthing people in their experiences while educating her peers and the general population about the importance of birth justice.
