On Thursday, November 4, the L&S Honors Program hosted a special event with Yaa Gyasi, the author of Transcendent Kingdom. Gyasi, the author of highly acclaimed debut novel Homegoing and a recipient of the National Book Foundation’s 2016 “5 Under 35” Award, led an exceptionally engaging conversation about topics covered throughout Transcendent Kingdom, and the practice of writing, in general. Thank you to Yaa Gyasi, for leading the conversation, and all students in attendance for making this event so rewarding!
