First Nations Cultural Landscape Tour for Honors Students
For more than twenty years, the First Nations Cultural Landscape Tour has led group walks to share stories of the Indigeneity––past and present––of Teejop and to engage with land, water, buildings, historical markers, and archeological sites from another perspective.
This tour has been arranged specifically for Honors students to more fully understand the place in which you live and study. The effigy mounds at the end of the tour are just outside Washburn Observatory, current home of the L&S Honors Program.
Event details:
- Friday, October 9, 2026
- 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM (Please arrive 10 minutes early to find the guide and ensure the tour can begin on time.)
- Meet in the Memorial Union foyer next to the information desk (southwest end of building). The tour route is one-way and will end along Observatory Drive near Washburn Observatory and Agriculture Hall.
Registration: This event is open to all L&S Honors students. Please complete the RSVP form by Tuesday, October 6, at 11:59 PM.
