Completing a Senior Honors Thesis is a remarkable achievement. By undertaking this project, you have contributed to the vibrant research enterprise of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and we celebrate the dedication, creativity, and scholarship that your work represents.
Submit to your thesis mentor
First and foremost, you must arrange a final deadline with your thesis mentor and submit your completed thesis to them. Your thesis must be graded before the term’s grading deadline.
Please also be sure to connect with your major advisor(s) to learn more about any department-specific deadlines or processes.
Optional: Submit to the digital thesis archives
The L&S Honors Program welcomes submissions of completed Senior Honors Theses for our digital archives. Submitting your completed thesis in this way preserves your contribution to the intellectual community of UW–Madison.
How to Submit
- Thesis submissions for the archives are collected through our Google Form.
- Within the form, you will have the option to grant consent for the L&S Honors Program to share your thesis through MINDS@UW, the University of Wisconsin’s open-access digital repository.
- If you grant consent, we will submit your work on your behalf.
- If you choose not to share your thesis in MINDS@UW, it will remain in our secure digital archives.
Formatting
- The L&S Honors Program does not require specific formatting.
- Please follow the disciplinary standards of your major department(s) when preparing your thesis.
Deadlines
- There is no Honors-specific deadline for thesis submission for the digital archive.
- You may submit once you and your advisor are satisfied with your work.
- Please continue to follow any deadlines set by your advisor or your department.
