Christine is a proud alumna of the University Wisconsin–Madison and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. At Illinois, she played trombone in the Marching Illini and participated in the Campus Honors Program. After teaching English abroad as a Fulbright Scholar, she moved to Madison and enjoyed a variety of teaching and mentoring roles before joining the L&S advising community. Christine completed her PhD in German linguistics and continues to geek out about syntax and language change. Christine is passionate about supporting students of all backgrounds and enjoys the work of developing ideas and policies that promote equitable, meaningful, and joyful experiences in the context of a liberal arts education. In her free time, she may be found attempting crossword puzzles, trying her hand at new recipes, and visiting friends near and far.
