Pete Keys

Pete is a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he earned his M.S. in Educational Psychology, and the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where he completed his B.S. in Secondary Education and Broadfield Social Studies, graduating summa cum laude. Before joining the Honors staff, he spent nearly a decade teaching high school Social Studies (2011–2020), earning Teacher of the Year honors at Monona Grove High School in 2018–19. When he’s not on campus, you’ll likely find Pete hanging out outdoors with his partner, Hannah, their two boys, Bobby and Tommy, and their golden retriever, Bernie. He’s a big fan of anything active—basketball, running, tennis, skiing, swimming—if it gets your heart pumping, he’s in.
